Iona Rozeal Brown talks about her inspiration for the painting “Sacrifice”. This video is very brief and pretty interesting so I suggest checking it out.
Leslie Hewitt is a contemporary visual artist who deals with the inevitability of change. She creates sculptures using found objects from the past which she rearranges for a series of photographs. Her process also address the way objects are affected by the passing of time. Her work is different, subtle, and requires some reflection which I appreciate.
I stumbled across this video on YouTube. I found it really clever that the artist realized there was a lack of greeting cards featuring plus sized natural African American women. She allowed this void to inspire her to make her own.
Hope you guys check out the video & enjoy.
